It is with sadness that we heard of the passing of one of our members, Ron Cook, aged 90. Ron came to the first meeting of the Shed. He joined and became a regular attending most Tuesdays and Thursdays. His speciality was model boat and ship building, often researched from plans. Ron served 10 years in the Royal Navy from 1948, he then worked for BP, eventually on the Shetland pipeline. Later on in life he worked with the Sue Ryder Foundation in Marchmont. Ron was a popular presence around the Shed and will be missed by all of us who knew him.

We have received an email from the eBike Grant team inviting us to attend an online meeting in February. The aim of the meeting is to join other successful applicants to share their experiences of running eBike projects. There will be a number of speakers covering topics such as project successes and challenges faced, storage, insurance,, e Bike fire safety and running adapted cycle/ecargo bike projects. Although not as yet confirmed   this is positive news.
